Our Mission
Here at Joan French Foundation, our mission is to provide physical, financial, and emotional support to single parent households thereby giving families an opportunity to regain control of their lives by providing funding to organizations that provide mental health, supportive transitional housing, job placement services, entrepreneurship training and economic development through self-empowerment tools, resources, and education.
Our Objectives
Joan French Foundation provides free education, trainings, conferences, workshops, retreats, public events, and referrals to community resources. Joan French Foundation has a multi-layered programmatic structure that uses evidence-informed approaches to address the holistic health of an individual. All Joan French Foundation services are designed to facilitate the healing of mind, body and soul. When individuals have stable supportive housing, access to needed resources and are equipped with the tools to overcome financial obstacles, they are better equipped to cultivate healthy

Support
With this initiative, our goal is to:
To provide safe, drug free, affordable, and supportive transitional housing.
To teach individuals how to nurture their physical, mental, emotional and financial health.
To help individuals establish and achieve goals focused on increasing self-sufficiency, improving life skills, and increasing economic stability.
To assist individuals with transitioning into permanent, affordable housing.
To activate the self-sustaining potential in individuals.

Mind and Body
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies for dealing with this challenge. We hope to equip marginalized individuals with the self-empowerment tools, resources, and self-care education needed to cultivate healthy life choices and to provide a therapeutic environment for individuals to address, process and heal from issues related to specific life situations that have prevented them from making healthy choices in regards to their living arrangements
